Our GPE Annual Christmas Concert will be in
our school gym on
December 20th @12:30 and 6:30 pm. Our students in gr. 1 - 6 will be performing "It's Christmas, Carol".
Carol, the grumpiest elf in the North Pole, is
making life difficult for the other overworked
elves and is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas
Past, Present and Future, which results in a festive
change of heart and Yuletide cheer. Our Kindergarten and K/1 classes will be performing at a different time.
Just a reminder that George Pringle Elementary is 'allergy aware'! As such, all classrooms will encourage children not to bring nut products to schools as we have various identified medical alerts which are life threatening in our school community. We teach our students not to 'trade' food for safety reasons. Finally, we request that parents check with the classroom teacher first before sending birthday food/holiday treats to school.
Thank you for supporting our year end grade 5/6 trip! Click this LINK - if you can support the selling, or bring a donation of baked goods to sell. We will be gladly accepting items in the am - at a table near the drop off loop. Thank you in advance! As well, parents will selling tickets for a CASH RAFFLE - 3 tickets for $5.00.... raffle is drawn in March 2019.
"Tiny Islands Jazzology" - as part of our District's cultural performance program, we were treated to some toe tapping, hand clapping, finger snapping jazz with Tiny Islands. What a great reminder of how many children learn kinesthetically. (In the photo is Mme. Jennings' class).
thank you Constable Lund for treating these three boys to lunch, and stories and a gift of time with you - a very important person in our school community!!!
The Whoville house on the left was designed by Mme. Jennings' K/1 class! What an exciting way to bring a student's inquiry mind to life - through a design process that thinks 'outside the box'. As Mme. Jennings said, "What a kid’s dream come true….to build with candy!"
were busy this morning preparing pancakes and special treats for all the intermediate students! What a great celebration! (Mrs. Patridge, Ms. Angeard, Mrs. Paynter, and Ms. Racz)
Our Social Justice leadership team, under the sponsorship of Mme Joncas and Mme Roy will be giving of their time at the Mission Gospel soup kitchen on December 12th, 14th and 19th.
